An emergency consultation for eye problems is available 24 hours a day. During regular opening hours, this consultation takes place in the outpatient department of the Eye Clinic. At night and on weekends, an examination unit for the duty ophthalmologist is available in the interdisciplinary emergency ward of the Inselspital (INO) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m., and consultations take place there outside regular working hours. For further examinations, the infrastructure of the emergency ward is available at any time.
